Richard Benjamin is hip-hop's new triathlete. Starting his career by moving from his native California to Seattle, Washington to work away from distractions, which resulted in two mix tapes and the Sleepless in Seattle EP.
After returning to California to start work with his live band, he began work with producer Dominic Williams on what would become the Day Jobs / Night Lives album. Day Jobs / Night Lives delivers an 8-song collection that spans musical influences from jazz, blues, hip hop, and classical. His brazen saunter on stage is genuine and becoming, in that it simply grows out of him. Richard Benjamin doesn't just work hard at his art, he makes art work hard to keep up with him. So get to his gallery. He's what every hip-hop fan wants when they're in the mood for a masterpiece.
